The 14th annual Polar Bear Plunge events Feb. 27-28 were a splashing success, raising more than $150,028. Despite seven inches of snow falling in a few short hours, 10 brave souls participated in the 24-hour Super Plunge; 129 determined individuals participated in the eighth annual Polar Bear 5K Strut; and 494 brave men and women took a chilly dip in Lake of the Ozarks. Their ‘Reason for Freezin’, the athletes of Special Olympics Missouri!
